It's a final countdown...

Aaaaaand.... February the 1st! How this is even happened? Where are you January? 28 days from now I'm going to Brussels! Scary!

I just looked around my apartment and I don't even want to think how I manage to pack everything and the move! Every possible surface is covered in something... scientific papers, magazines, books, clothes, tools (yeah.... don't ask, I even have a pretty big and heavy set of screwdrivers and hammers! You never know what girl needs, right? :-) )

Plus I the next month I have to finish my thesis! Pressure, pressure, pressure....

Luckily for the first time in few weeks the sun comes out and the rain stop!

February, the 1st! Welcome!

This time next month, the adventure will begin

It's the 28th of January. This time next month I will be sitting on the plane to Brussels. Exciting but a little bit scary. I love the UK and it feels a bit sad to pack everything I have here and move away. But hey... we will see what happens.

At the moment I am looking for an apartment. Oh dear... this proves to be more difficult that I have ever expected. The market over there is very fast. Places come and go. It seems like the best way to find something is to be there. I don't know if I manage to have a place secured before my arrival but I like to keep my eye on it!

What terrifies me slightly makes me laugh is the 'interior design' of some of the apartments. Today I found a lovely flat, great location, renovated but.... one room comprises of both the kitchen and the bathroom (?!). So you have your cooker, sink, fridge, shower and bathroom sink. WTF?! Really? Maybe it's handy if you like to cook and shower at the same time... Hmm.... my first cultural shock :-)

I'm moving!

Sooo.... it's official, I'll be moving to Brussels in a month time! I'm starting the new job on the 3rd of March! Yikes!
